Workspace addresses & client controls
Set your company slug, verify custom domains and understand platform-managed permissions.
A memorable company sign-in link
Open Company settings → Workspace addresses. Choose 3–63 lowercase letters, numbers or single hyphens. Start and end with a letter or number. Platform names and another company’s slugs are unavailable. Your link is /auth/workspaces/your-slug on this installation’s main address.
Previous slugs keep working for the same company. A slug selects the company for normal account sign-in; it never grants membership or changes learning records. Company SSO remains on its existing sign-in page.
Connect a domain you own
The existing workspace address continues to work. Website domain claims are separate from SSO work-email routing domains. Removing a claim releases its reservation.
- Ask your platform operator to enable custom-domain changes for your company.
- Add an exact public hostname, such as learn.yourcompany.com. Do not include https://, a path, port or wildcard. Up to ten domains can be claimed.
- Add the displayed TXT record in your DNS provider. Keep its exact name and value, then choose Check verification. DNS propagation can take time.
- Ownership verified means DNS matched. Awaiting hosting setup means your operator still needs to configure HTTPS and routing. The application does not automatically provision a live custom website.
Platform console
Designated platform operators open Platform console from the sidebar. Each client has independent Allow slug changes and Allow custom domains controls. Turn either off to freeze company self-service while keeping existing links and claims. Company administrators cannot change these platform permissions.
The portal lists 25 clients per page. Search filters the current page; use Next 25 clients for more. A stale save is refused; reload before retrying. Platform access is explicitly configured by the installation operator and requires an active owner membership, not merely an administrator role.
Troubleshooting
- Locked setting: ask your platform operator to enable the feature.
- Address already reserved: select another address or contact your operator; previous company slugs remain reserved.
- Verification not found: check the exact TXT name/value and allow DNS propagation, then retry.
- Recent sign-in required: sign in again before making the change.
- Verified domain still unavailable: ownership verification and HTTPS hosting activation are separate steps.
