Search visibility & analytics

Understand public search visibility, sharing previews and consent-controlled measurement.

Public pages and private learning

Marketing pages, public sample lessons and customer documentation include readable HTML before JavaScript loads, page titles, descriptions, canonical links, social sharing images and structured data. Their metadata stays in sync as visitors navigate without reloading the page.

Private workspaces, learning records and administrative pages are excluded from the public sitemap and marked noindex. Indexing rules do not replace authentication. The public catalogue contains selected samples; publishing an internal company course does not expose it to search engines.

Local development and preview navigation is marked noindex. The build targets the installation's canonical production address. Operators must add an HTTP noindex header or access protection when serving a production build on a public staging domain, because its static HTML is designed for production indexing.

Connect measurement deliberately

  1. Ask your operator to configure credentials for your organisation's approved provider. Secrets stay on the server, outside browser bundles.
  2. Open Events & integrations as a company administrator. Check provider readiness, choose the permitted event names and enable the appropriate destination.
  3. Use Privacy choices to opt into analytics or marketing. These are independent choices and can be withdrawn. No optional analytics or marketing event is delivered without its required permission.
  4. Test a page visit or video interaction, inspect delivery history, and confirm receipt in the provider's own tools before relying on reports.

Supported adapters and their limits

  • Google Analytics 4: server-side Measurement Protocol events. This does not install a browser Google tag or Google Tag Manager, and does not by itself provide complete browser session or advertising attribution.
  • Mixpanel: server-side product events using the configured project and region.
  • Klaviyo: consent-controlled marketing events using a server-side private key.
  • Meta: server-side Conversions API with a pinned API version. No Facebook browser pixel is automatically loaded; ad matching depends on the separately agreed permitted data.
  • A delivery accepted by a provider is not proof that it has appeared in that provider's reports. Validate provider-side processing and avoid duplicate events when adding another integration.

Before opening measurement to real users

Agree event purpose, retention, deletion responsibilities and privacy wording for your deployment. Credentials, public-site organisation mapping and enabled destinations are installation-specific. Analytics is not automatically connected merely because the controls are visible.

Search engine crawling, rankings and rich-result display are controlled by search engines. Submit the production sitemap through your verified search-console property and monitor actual indexing. Structured data does not guarantee a special search appearance.
